Each act is made up of installations being set up in Nantes and St Nazaire as well as along the 60kms of estuary that joins them together: hence the name! Certain works of art are only there for the exhibition, while others are in it for the duration, making up a permanent trail to follow all year round. Since 2007, 15 pieces have been set up and left and that number will grow to around 20 after 2012. Each piece tries to reveal or transform an atypical spot. Take the cement works’ ‘La Pendule’ (The Pendulumn) by Roman Signer as an example, or the extraordinary prairies and reed beds in Lavau-sur-Loire for ‘l’observatoire’ (The Observatory) by Tasashi Kawamata
